Kumo reads six live market signals and turns them into one number from 0 (extreme fear) to 100 (extreme greed). Right now the crypto weather is rain. That is 2 points lower than yesterday. The ingredient pulling hardest is market breadth.
Kumo turns the number into weather, so you can read it at a glance.
Unlike most indexes, Kumo shows every ingredient and how much it counts. 0 = fear, 100 = greed for each one.
Every daily value since May 19, 2024, with Bitcoin's price on top. Look for how fear shows up near dips and greed near peaks.

Kumo checked the history above. This is a fact about the past, not a forecast.
Extreme fear (below 25): 120 days. Bitcoin was higher 30 days later 63% of the time.
Extreme greed (above 75): 163 days. Bitcoin was higher 30 days later 58% of the time.
Data: May 19, 2024 to today, daily. Small samples can mislead – a few weeks of panic can count as many days.

Live charts for big coins
It is one number from 0 to 100 that sums up the mood of the crypto market. Low numbers mean traders are scared (fear), high numbers mean they are excited (greed). Kumocast builds its index from six live signals: price momentum, volatility, market breadth, Bitcoin RSI, buying vs selling volume and funding rates.
The live score is shown at the top of this page and is recalculated every 30 minutes from exchange data. The history chart shows every daily value.
Some investors use extreme fear as a sign that a lot of selling has already happened, but it is not a buy signal on its own. Fear can last for weeks. On this page we show how often Bitcoin was higher 30 days after extreme fear in our data – a fact about the past, not a promise.
We show every ingredient and its score, update every 30 minutes, publish the method and use only public exchange data. Other indexes may use different ingredients (such as social media or Google searches), so the numbers will not match exactly.
Mostly. Five of the six ingredients use Bitcoin, because Bitcoin leads the crypto market. The breadth ingredient looks at all 50 coins Kumocast tracks.
Every 30 minutes. Each daily bar in the history is the value at the end of that day (UTC).
It is best used as a mood check, together with price levels and your own plan. It tells you how the crowd feels, not where the price will go next.
